Calvary and the Love of Christ

At Calvary, we see both the wickedness of man and the astonishing love of Christ. Betrayed, denied, mocked, beaten, and crucified, Jesus willingly endured the cross and continued showing mercy even to His enemies.
The cross is the ultimate proof of Christ’s love for sinners. Through His death, we are forgiven, reconciled to God, and brought into His family. If Christ loved us while we were His enemies, we can be confident in His enduring love for us now that we belong to Him.
